Making Reservations for Havasu Falls
It's not only challenging to get to Havasu Falls, some people say it's challenging making reservations to camp, lodge, or visit Havasupai all together. You see, all reservations are made by telephone. Couple that with lax office hours and other conditions in the canyon that may affect staffing those phones, and you can see why that's the case for some people.
The key, like in most rewarding things in life, is persistance. If you don't get through now, try later in the day or try again tomorrow. Here are the phone numbers:
There are only 24 rooms at the lodge, and space in the campground is limited, so make your reservations as far ahead of your planned trip as possible. Popular dates and times of year fill up fast - sometimes months in advance.
All visitors not staying at the lodge must check in at the camping office (or tourism office) to pay fees, and pick up your required permit tags. The camping office is next to the helicopter landing field, which is in the middle of town, near the cafe, general store, and elementary school.
If you are a guest at the Lodge, continue past the camping office, past the school and check in at the lobby of the Lodge where your fees will be collected and you will receive your room key.
